Change UAC Behavior To Be Less Annoying

February 16, 2007 · Filed Under Configuring Vista System Settings

Donna at dozleng.com has put up a way to modify they way UAC acts for users. One of the biggest complaints about UAC is the “annoyance” factor. Now if you have been in a sys admin job for any amount of time you will have grown a thick skin to hearing the users complain about how security measures are annoying. The change that Donna puts up will lower the annoyance factor ONLY after you have done the legwork to get your users configured with all thier programs correctly so they dont require admin privilidges.

The modfication requires a quick change to the local security policies and can be found here

Thanks Donna!
